Nokia N97 Preview
To begin, we must point out that the N97 will be the first Nokia terminal to have already incorporated a series of many important services. This time, therefore, no longer need to install a flood of third-party programs, given that Nokia has decided to install the basic software. For example, the phone can be set to silent mode simply by inversion, and in the same way you can block incoming calls.
On the terminal will also Nokia Maps 3.0 installed already. Terminal will be the first officially compatible with this software pre-installed. Among the many features, like not mentioning the famous and much anticipated widget that will allow you to customize at will the main screen with weather and news in real time, as happens on Windows Mobile.
As for the size, Nokia N97 is very similar to the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 and HTC Touch Pr as the 5800th The negative part is the weight: 150g are felt in his pocket. Also this time, however, it should be noted that Nokia has not wasted so much on the materials: the case is all smooth plastic, only the front is a metal strip. The front also being completely lucid, will be filled quickly by fingerprints. Finally, the quality of construction is not exceptional: if you press very strong on the sides, many will feel crunch.

The battery will be even more powerful than the 5800: 1500 mah allow use of about 3 days. Even in terms of power that N97 does not disappoint: 128MB of RAM are several, although only 70 to become. The chipset will be an ARM11 working on 369MHz, but it seems to be overclock before the sale of the phone. The chipset should be a TI OMAP, which increases the speed and performance of 5800.
These widgets are fully customizable: can we use them as shortcuts to application, weather, feed websites or messaging. It also confirmed that the widgets will not be compatible with the 5800. The phone will also be dedicated for use with social network, but the software is not yet operational.
Nokia has done a very good product, it seems, but has “forgotten” to include some minor enhancement. I am sure that, two months after the sale of the N97 will be announced a new terminal that will offset these deficiencies.
